Vidrego is designed to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

1. What We Collect

• Video metadata: file name, size, format, upload timestamp
• Aggregate statistics: view counts per video (no viewer identity)
• IP address: used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention, not stored long-term
• Theme preference: stored locally in your browser (localStorage), never sent to us

2. What We Do NOT Collect

We do not ask for or store: names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, social media profiles, or any personally identifiable information. No account is required to use Vidrego.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

Vidrego uses browser localStorage to remember your theme preference and recently uploaded links on your own device. This data never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Third-party advertising networks displayed on this site may use cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices.

4. Content Storage

Uploaded videos are stored on Cloudflare R2, a third-party object storage service. Video content is served via Cloudflare's CDN. We retain videos for as long as storage and policy considerations allow, and may delete them at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare: CDN and object storage (video hosting)
• Advertising networks: may serve ads and use cookies per their own policies

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes, because we do not collect identifying data in the first place.

6. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal information, there is typically nothing to export or delete. Uploaded videos can be removed by requesting takedown through the Report page.

7. Children

Vidrego is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
